AOG Sapphire Windows & Lenses deliver outstanding optical clarity and chemical inertness, transmitting wavelengths from the UV spectrum up to 4.7 microns. In their uncoated state, they achieve up to 85% transmission and can be enhanced with coatings that push transmission beyond 99%. With a Mohs hardness of 9—second only to diamond—these products are available as lenses or windows in various forms, including flat, stepped, concave, or convex shapes, and in both round and square configurations, complete with mounting holes and slots.
Precision Engineering & Custom Fabrication for Sapphire Windows
Custom manufactured to meet precise specifications, these sapphire components can be fabricated in diameters ranging from 0.25” to 10” and thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 1”. They feature scribed directional arrow edge treatments, flatness to 1/10th wave, parallelism within 2 arc-seconds, and surface finishes under 0.5 nm. These attributes make them ideal for applications such as glass-to-metal sealing or brazing into Kovar® sleeves.
