Utilizing optical-grade Sapphire crystal, renowned for its exceptional thermal conductivity, ensures the quality and efficiency of the IPL light guide. Sapphire IPL light guides are indispensable optical elements within IPL machines, enabling the filtration of UV rays and the selective retention of the desired wavelength spectrum.

With extensive expertise and capabilities, AOG specializes in crafting high-precision sapphire light guides tailored for Laser and IPL medical applications. Our offerings include customizable sapphire light guides available in various shapes such as cuboids, cubes, pyramids, or quadrangular pyramids. Additionally, to facilitate ease of installation, our products can be customized with punched or slotted features.

What's Sapphire Light Guides?

Sapphire light guides play a crucial role in cosmetic laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) applications, widely utilized for hair removal and various other cosmetic treatments. IPL applications utilize different wavelength bands to target specific chromophores, thus our custom light guides are available in various materials tailored to your specific wavelength requirements.

Primarily designed for aesthetic applications in cosmetic lasers and IPL machines, sapphire light guides are hexahedral optical cubes with all six surfaces polished for optical clarity. One surface is coated with a cutoff filter film, typically blocking light frequencies below 575nm while allowing passage of light between 600nm to 1200nm. This enables the light to pass through the sapphire light guide with minimal distortion before reaching the skin surface for laser-based beauty treatments. Additionally, sapphire light guides act as excellent cooling mediums, often referred to as ‘sapphire cooling blocks’, preventing potential skin burns from laser exposure during treatment.

Sapphire boasts exceptional thermal conductivity and single-crystal structure, making it highly resistant to high-energy lasers. Its incorporation in IPL devices ensures customer comfort and safety while significantly extending product lifespan, reducing consumable losses, and enhancing economic benefits for users.

Sapphire stands as a superior alternative to BK7 glass and quartz materials, offering customizable light guides tailored to your specifications, primarily available in cube, cuboid, and tapered forms with optional coatings.

The Advantage Of Sapphire Light Guides?

Advantages of Sapphire light guides include:

1. High-precision processing yields superior surface quality and durability.
2. Exceptional optical, thermodynamic, and mechanical properties.
3. Reliable operation under prolonged laser pulse exposure, ensuring cosmetic instrument safety.
4. High damage threshold leading to extended service life.
5. Product features include high gloss, absence of bubbles, high temperature and corrosion resistance, high hardness, and efficient light transmission capacity.

The main optical bands covered by sapphire crystal guide blocks are:

  • 430nm/480nm: Acne treatment
  • 530nm: Spot and wrinkle reduction
  • 560nm: Skin whitening
  • 580nm: Treatment of red blood vessels
  • 640nm/670nm/690nm: Hair removal
